Hi, I’m Joanna, a writer with Design Shuffle, a terrific online portfolio resource for interior designers to show their work and access the latest information on the interior design and related industries. I’m so excited to be guest posting for Lauren on Our Hiding Place. Below I bring you my favorite beachy bedrooms from around the web. They’ll be sure to inspire some fantastic interior decorating ideas of your own.
Sea foam blue and yellow make for a bright and cheery room. The rustic beamed ceiling, slatted wall and pine slat flooring create a nice palette for the vintage iron bed and bedside tables. Patinaed architectural molding creates the perfect showcase for a collection of coral. White panels billow in the breeze at the door to the outside terrace.
Natural grass cloth walls and bamboo window treatments set the backdrop for this lively beach bedroom. A modern palm print ties the green settee to the bed and up to the windows. A bamboo floor lamp adds an extra contemporary flair.
Texture and color come to life in this bohemian version of the classic seaside bedroom. Aqua blue and turquoise cover a traditional daybed with pineapple finials. Built-in shelves make a perfect spot to show off seashell finds and other beach collections.
What a wonderful childrens room dressed in beach decor! Loving the happy polka dotted linens and fluffy duvets. The wooden accents of letters and a sailboat give a seaside ambiance. Does this room inspire any new beach cottage decorating ideas?
White and blue are a common choice for beachside rooms and this one is especially crisp and inviting. The antique headboard is coordinated with the bed linens in an identical tropical print. The vaulted ceiling hints that this is may just be an attic getaway.
Here’s another childrens room which has beach written all over it. From the seashell print of the pillows and cornices to the seashell shadow boxes, this is a room kids can enjoy after a long day by the sea.
This gorgeous room is the perfect spot for two. Can you imagine waking up to such a fresh and brightly hued room? With its lively print on the bed skirt and pillows, this room would make beginning and ending the day a joy.
Lilac isn’t a color normally associated with the beach, but this room pulls it off. With its crisp linens and window panels and a collection of pristine white coral over the bed, this bedroom design feels equally as perfect for the seashore as the rooms above do.
