Oh. My. Word.

This past month (or two?!) has been a WHIRLWIND. So I thought I’d update you all on what’s going on over at our place recently. Think of it at one of those monthly newsletters people send their families. 😉

Let’s start with the main reason I’ve been so MIA….I recently got my 15 minutes of “fame!” Not really 🙂 But I was asked to be in a commercial for a chain of malls here in Connecticut, and then for a local clothing boutique here on the shoreline! I’ve never done anything like this before, and didn’t know what to expect. It was so much fun! Hair and makeup, complete with AWESOME wardrobe. Luckily there was so speaking…not really sure how I’d do with that seeing as my hair video was just SO fabulous 😉 Hehe. Anyways, here’s a sneak peek of the boutique commerical…I’ll see if I can actually post it once it airs! 😀

In dog news…..Ammo has graduated the second stage of dog school! I’ve never trained a dog before and these training classes have been my saving grace. I can’t speak highly enough about all we learned in puppy school, and dog school has been equally as rewarding! (For those wondering, puppy school focuses on puppies under 20 weeks. The latter is older puppies.) Our tornado pup catches on REAL quick to what we’ve been teaching him, however….he’s not so good with the jumping. And a now 90+lb dog jumping on you? NOT FUN. We have lots of work to do in that area, but I did teach him a really fantastic trick recently…

I laugh so hard (as you can hear!) every. single. time.

And in husband news……well he’s his same old crazy self. He recently participated in the Tough Mudder up at Mount Snow in Vermont and dislocated his ring finger. Good thing my name is tattooed on it because I’m not so sure his wedding ring will fit again! (Kidding :)) He would probably also like me to mention that he performed two obstacles with it dislocated and then popped it back into place himself. So now he thinks he’s some kind of doctor or something. 🙂

Anyways, we’ve had lots of other fun stuff going on this summer which has all resulted in minimal blog time for me. But I do have some fun projects coming up, a room reveal (FINALLY!), and a small giveaway of my latest obsession. I’ve also decided to start a post series which I think those of you who follow me in Instagram (@lpmcbride) will really like! Stay tuned!
