A Nautical Inspired Baby Shower

Landon and I were so blessed this weekend! 
 

This past Saturday was the first of my two baby showers, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day. My mom and two best friends from my hometown planned the most beautiful nautical-inspired baby shower for Landon and I. I love that my mom and friends know me ALL too well and kept the nautical-ness to a minimum, just like I plan for the nursery. I prefer themes to not be super in your face, and this was spot on! 🙂
 

I thought I would share some detail pictures with you all from the big day!
 

 

The cute anchor and sailboat cookies were provided by Purdy Hill Bakery in Monroe, CT, and were incredibly delicious!
 

The macarons were from MacArons in Milford, CT…Caroline, the owner, is just the sweetest! She currently does online orders only, but they ship Priority mail which means they get to you FAST! These classic Parisian cookies have been all over the blogosphere and Pinterest lately, so I was thrilled when my friend Jackie found a place in CT that makes them! Please be sure to check out MacArons and to use Caroline for all of your macaron needs! 🙂 You WON’T regret it! Not to mention…they are insanely delicious!
 

The cake was from Sweet Maria’s Bakery in Waterbury, CT. It was Very Berry and had the most delicious whipped frosting. Love me some cake! 🙂
 

The “Ahoy It’s a Boy!” banner was handmade by one of my friends, as was the cute little wishing tree below it (this picture isn’t the best, it was hard to get a good shot with the light in the background!) Guests wrote their wishes for Landon and I on the little circles and hung them with mini clothespins from the “tree.” I loved reading them when I got home! My friends are so creative!
 

Tissue paper pompons hung throughout the house and added a little whimsy to the decor. And the favors were the cutest little soap eggs nestled in a bird nest! 
 

And last, they had his name on display….which I loved 🙂

A huuuuge thank you to my friends and mom for such a great day! And to everyone who came who might be reading this!
 

Landon’s second shower is this upcoming weekend, so I’ll have another baby shower post later this week! 🙂
