Today I have an outfit that’s perfect for those of you who are looking for something other than a maxi dress! This flowy blouse and shorts will definitely keep you just as cool!

My favorite part about summer style is the bright and bold colors of the tropics. They are so cheerful and look gorgeous on sun-kissed skin. I love how the summer scarf ties in all three colors of this outfit and makes the color blocking come together! This is the perfect outfit for a summer BBQ, which we know there are plenty of all season long!

I think my favorite part of this outfit is how easy and comfortable it is. I could simply swap out the heeled booties with some gladiator sandals, and it’s perfect for chasing around my toddler. Sometimes I don’t want to deal with dresses, skirts, or accessories that he can pull (necklaces and big earrings!). And running around after him can be such a workout! I also try to make all of my outfits comfortable and casual because that’s what I feel the most confident in. I don’t want to be wearing anything that makes me feel even a little self conscious because then it shows!
