Holiday Decorating with Faux Taxidermy December 2, 2014
Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with Wall Charmers. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!!
I’m not one for a giant deer head on my wall, but I have fallen in love with the gorgeous white faux taxidermy I’ve seen all over the internet this past year! I love that they add a sleek and rustic touch to any room, and that they give some dimension to wall decor. I’ve been itching to add one somewhere in my home, which is why I was so excited when Wall Charmers was kind enough to give me my very own “Virginia” to feature!
I wanted to have some fun with her, and given that it’s the holiday season, I thought it would be fun to decorate Virginia for the upcoming Christmas holiday! So below I’m sharing with you three ways to decorate your faux taxidermy with some Christmas flare!
With a wreath. The Virginia fits nicely in a standard wreath glommed to perfection. I love how her gold antlers compliment the touches of sparkle on the wreath, and that it looks like she’s peeking through. 🙂
With some greenery. I love that some eucalyptus leaves and a few sparkly berries add a little floral touch, as if she got caught in some leaves!
With some mistletoe. <arel=”nofollow” href=”http://wallcharmers.com/shop/deer-faux-taxidermy/virginia-two-colors/”>The Virginia sits right above our bed, and what better place to have some mistletoe 😉 Her antlers make the perfect hook for this little kissing ball!
I also think she would look great with some lights strung between her antlers, and maybe a scarf around her neck. I think I’ll thoroughly enjoy decorating her for the changing seasons throughout the year! It makes for a fun project, and Landon loves pointing to her when I ask him where the deer is, haha!
How would you decorate The Virginia?!
