Saving Memories with timeshel March 2, 2015
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and timeshel, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #timeshelprints http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
While I was pregnant with Landon, I convinced my husband that it was 1000000000% necessary we spend a lot of money on a really fancy camera because “I will use it all the time to take pictures of the baby!” Well. It’s over two years later and I’ve used it to photograph him maaaaaaybe twice. Now don’t get me wrong, the camera has definitely been put to good use…it’s what I use for all my blog photos. But the majority of my photos of Landon are sitting on my iPhone, taking up insane amounts of storage to the point where I can’t even download the new iOS software because it’s so full (I know, I know, just back them up. But I like looking at them!!!!)
I’ve been looking for a way to upload and print my iPhone photos with ease, and without having to upload them to social media. My husband also uses his iPhone to take photos of Landon, and most of them I don’t see unless he happens to text them to me. And likewise! I wanted the ability for us both to upload our own photos to the same program for them to print for the future. I was pleased to find out the timeshel app does ALL of that!
timeshel is an app where you can easily upload your iPhone photos to create your story and have them transformed into beautiful, high quality prints delivered right to your door each month. The timeshel experience is a subscription, and starts at only $5.95 a month which includes 10 prints in an envelope and free shipping monthly. There’s also a higher tier, which is $14.95 a month for 30 prints in a wonderful, protective box called the shel as well as free shipping. You can toggle between the two tiers of service at any time!
The photos are absolutely beautiful, which is what I was most impressed with! I was nervous they would be poor quality, have weird color correction, or even appear grainy, and they were NONE of those things. The prints come in two sizes, 3.5″x4.67″ (a standard iPhone photo size) or a square like Instagram at 3.5″x3.5″. I uploaded both sizes and the app totally took care of the printing without any need for insight from me! The photos also come with a 1/4″ white border around the, which makes them reminiscent of film.
My favorite part is that my husband can upload the app on his phone and share my login credentials, which ultimately gives access to both of our camera rolls. timeshel automatically saved a copy of the new photos I uploaded from my husband’s phone into my own camera roll, as well!
I really loved the simplicity and ease of the timshel app, and that it turns simple iPhone photos into a tangible story-like experience. There’s also the option of sending multiple copies of your story to difference recipients, which I think makes a great gift! I’m definitely keeping that in mind, especially for our family across the country! Right now timeshel is only available for iOS in the Apple Store.
If you’re an iPhone user and love printed photos, I highly recommend you check it out! We love it over here! 🙂
I will definitely check out this app! My phone is overflowing with my dogs’ photos that I just can’t get myself to transfer to the hard drive just yet! Some of them I have but I just can’t erase them!
