Maternity Fashion // Pink Crochet Maxi Dress August 3, 2015
Dress: Forever 21
Shoes: TJMaxx (similar)
Hat: Target
Bracelets: Gold and Gray
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington
I fell in love with this dress when I was browsing Forever 21 recently, and figured I could make it work for pregnancy and beyond. Well, as it turns out….it fits REALLY wide. Even for being pregnant. It would probably be fine without a huge bump out in front, which naturally makes flowy things look bigger anyway, but I still wanted it to be a little fitter up top around the bodice. Which brings me to my tip of the day.
Invest in a good tailor.
Clothes are made for standard sizes, and things don’t ALWAYS look super amazing for our body types, even if we are Twiggy thin. That’s why having a good tailor is so important – they can help adjust your clothing to make it fit perfectly to your body. I had this dress taken in on the bodice just a tad bit to make it fit better up top. I know my upper half won’t be changing much in size (if anything, it’s bigger now than it usually is, HELLO PREGNANCY BOOBS!), so having it adjusted would only benefit. So go ask around and find a good one in your area! And that’s your tip of the day 😉
Hope your Monday treats you right!

The hem line and the color of the maxi is amazing! I totally agree about finding a good tailor, it makes all the difference in the world how clothes looks once it’s been properly fitted.
