Newborn Clothing Essentials November 22, 2017
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring today’s post!
With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I’ve almost completely forgotten that shortly after it’s over…we’ll be a family of FIVE! I had this realization the other day, and immediately went into nesting mode. All of our baby items are in the attic, including the clothes I saved from Landon, and I felt the sudden urge to go through everything to see what we had. As is turns out, we only have baby gear and NO clothes because Landon was born in the opposite season! That’s when I decided it was time to purchase some baby items for this little one. Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom and sharing some Newborn Clothing Essentials that we’ll be picking up for this new little dude!
1 // Basic Onesies
What mom doesn’t love onesies? They’re super easy for diaper changes and make dressing a breeze! I usually buy an excessive amount because spit up and poop is bound to happen. There are some days when my babies go through THREE A DAY! The laundry is usually always going, but having a variety on hand is super helpful.
2 // Footed Pajamas
I actually prefer footed pajamas over onesies during the cold months because they’re just overall easier! Noelle lived in these all winter long as a newborn. I plan on stocking up on quite a few because of their frequent use and, of course, to plan for poop explosions. 🙂
3 // Swaddle Blankets
I actually won’t need to purchase swaddle blankets for this babe since Landon’s are still in great condition! I love using swaddles for multiple purposes…a quick coverup while nursing, or even for some extra warmth if baby is in the swing or rock n’ play. I’m partial to the muslin kind!
4 // Buntings
I didn’t need these for Landon, but having buntings is necessary for little ones born in the winter! Since Noelle’s was a little girly, I scooped up this adorable striped hooded bunting for this new babe as well. These are great for some added warmth when it’s really frigid outside.
5 // Sleepsacks
Our kiddos are always swaddled as newborns, and then we transition to sleepsacks! I purchase new ones every kiddo because they’re used so often and every day. I like to have a few I can interchange for washing, etc. We really love the HALO brand for sleepsacks, and Noelle still uses one!
6 // Socks
6 // Burp Cloths & Bibs
Spit up..it’s bound to happen! I like having a burp cloth nearby, ALWAYS, as I’m nursing or even over my shoulder as I’m burping the baby just in case. These aden & anais burpy bibs are great, and so are regular bibs too! Those are especially helpful once teething begins and the drool is everywhere!
Of course, I love adding in some adorable little outfits like this adorable Bunny Sweatshirt and Legging Set, as well as some pants and tops! I was surprised to see Nordstrom’s selection of baby items, including MANY of the brands I already own and love. Plus their free shipping and store pickup (and curbside pickup!) options make it easy for me to grab whatever I need!
