Natural Glowing Makeup May 15, 2018
Thank you to Hourglass Cosmetics for sponsoring today’s post!
I’m really excited to share today’s post with you because I’ve developed a new found love for these products! Today I’m sharing a Natural Glowing Makeup Tutorial that takes next to no time featuring some incredible products from Hourglass Cosmetics. I hadn’t used Hourglass Cosmetics prior to trying them for this post, but I had been wanting to because I know many beauty blogger friends who rave about them! I’m covering a variety of products from foundation to my new favorite, the Ambient Lighting Palette. Here’s how to get that natural glow!
Starting with a clean face, I applied Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I really love the silky texture of this primer – it’s so different from others I’ve tried! This primer does it all – it provides a broad spectrum SPF 15 protection, conceals redness, and minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Next, I applied the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. This was a first for me, as I haven’t tried stick foundation products before! It’s a highly concentrated foundation stick, which means a little goes a long way. It has the coverage of a concealer, glides on like a liquid, and feels virtually weightless. It’s also long wearing and waterproof! I used the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Brush to apply. I REALLY loved how this foundation feels, and was really impressed by the coverage! I followed this up with a little corrector and concealer, because mama’s got dark circles like no other right now!
To set everything, I used Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder with the Hourglass Veil Powder Brush. This powder is weightless and gives a natural finish while minimizing pores and fine lines. I always use a setting powder, especially under my eyes! I find it helps keep my concealer in place.
I always keep my eyeshadow, if I wear any, pretty simple. Using the Hourglass Graphik Eyeshadow Palette in Myth. I love the neutral, earthy tones and the matte finish, which I prefer. I used the lightest color all over my eye, followed by the middle brown tone in my crease. I then lined my upper and lower lash line using the darkest brown tone.
I’ve been wanting to try the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, and it lives up to it’s hype! I love the subtle glow it gives. I applied Dim Light (left) all over my face, Radiant Light (right) on my cheeks, and highlighted with Incandescent Light (middle).
To finish off, I applied two coats of my favorite mascara, some liner in my waterline, and a swipe of Hourglass Extreme High Sheen Lip Gloss in Ignite!
