Summer Master Bedroom

Lately I’ve been craving a change in our home…does that ever happen to you? I get bored with our decor every season, and now that summer is in full swing I’ve felt the need to switch things up a bit! Usually I just switch things around the house a bit, but I was happy to partner up with The Company Store again to give our bed a little refresh! Today I’m sharing our Summer Master Bedroom with you!

Many people think I’m crazy, but there’s something so crisp and clean about all white bedding. We aren’t in our bedroom all that much, as it’s upstairs and away from the main living spaces of our home. That said, I’m never worried about things getting dirty because bleach pretty much fixes everything! I also like that it’s easy to switch up the decor, and is classic and timeless. White bedding is never a bad idea, in my opinion.

I’ve never tried linen sheets before, and usually stick with a basic cotton. But we recently tried out these Comfort Wash Solid Linen Sheets from The Company Store and I was really impressed with how cozy and soft they felt. The Company Store also has a variety of cotton sheets, as well. I typically stick with a basic sold color, but sometimes a print is fun underneath white bedding, too!

Since it’s summer time and typically hot (even with our AC), I wanted something a little lighter weight for sleeping. I’ve never had a quilt on my bed before, but since using it I’ve been LOVING it. Especially having still having the night sweats 😉 I’m honestly just fine using the top sheet and quilt at night, but I also like having the option of the duvet as well. I love the texture the Company Quilt adds to the bed, and the functionality of it, too!

On top of the quilt, I have our duvet with The Company Store’s beautiful Comfort Wash Solid Linen Duvet Cover. It’s incredibly soft with a relaxed look, and I love the simple hemstitch detail along the edges. This duvet is classic and will last forever. I folded it up in the middle of the bed to make things look extra cozy, and at night I just simply push it to the bottom of the bed. I added the Comfort Wash Solid Linen Euro and King Pillow shams to complete the look as well.

Since the bedding is all white, I thought it was best to add a little texture and color with the throw pillows! I love this Studio Home Embroidery Geo Pillow Cover for it’s texture fringe detail. It’s a nice added element against the smooth linen shams. For some color, this Diamond Woven Printed Pillow Cover adds a slight pop of blue to the room, which is perfect with our blue rug! Accent pillows really add sophistication to a bed. My husband always comments about why we have so many pillows we don’t use, but he just doesn’t get it 😉 Last, a throw blanket on top finishes the look! I used one I had on hand, but The Company Store has a wide variety of beautiful options as well.

I plan to add a fun, beachy print above our bed (I was planning on adding our Copper Corners art from my Painted Fox Collection, but sadly it was too big!). I think it will add a beautiful pop of color and contrast with the white bedding. Eventually, the rug I designed will go in here as well!
