Winter Gear Gift Guide December 11, 2019
Thank you to Backcountry and Shopstyle for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
Winter gear is something I’ve gifted pretty much every year, whether it’s to my kids, husband, or family members. Living in New England, I can always count on it being a need with our cold winters! Backcountry has been my go-to for all of my winter gear for quite some time because options are pretty limited living by the shore here in Connecticut and I love Backcountry’s easy shipping and return policy! I’m sharing some current favorite winter gear with you today that also makes for great gift ideas!
POM BEANIES: I have about 10 pom beanies and I would still buy more, HA. I wear a hat every single time I leave the house in the winter because of my head is cold, then I’m cold! They’re an easy gift idea or stocking stuffer for just about anyone. I recently picked up The North Face Triple Cable Fur Pom Beanie which is perfect and falls just right. I linked some other options below for you!
COZY SOCKS: Socks make for another great stocking stuffer of inexpensive gift idea! I could always ue a new, WARM pair that fits perfectly in my winter boots. I love the print of these Smartwool Traditional Snowflake Socks (and they’re SO warm), and also have several pairs of these Ugg Cozy Chenille Socks. I like my socks to peek out above my boots just a bit, and both of these are great options for that. I linked a few others below for you!
COZY SWEATERS: A cozy sweater is always a great gift idea, too! I live in sweaters and leggings during the winter, so it’s always a wonderful gift to receive. This KAVU Sweetie Sweater is a great length and super warm while still being lightweight. I also like the fun necklace. I’m linking some other sweaters below!
VESTS or FLEECES: I love a good vest or fleece to easily throw on for an extra layer of warmth. I recently picked up this Patagonia Retro Pile Vest, and it’s lightweight enough to go over just about anything while still being warm! They have a fleece pullover option, too, if you like this style! I’m also still loving The North Face Campshire 2.0 Hooded Pullover Fleece that I shared in THIS post. It’s INSANELY warm, and I wear it frequently whether it’s to the gym, lounging around the house, or under a heavier jacket! I linked other options below.
WINTER JACKETS: I’ve acquired a few winter jackets over the years that I still wear and love all throughout the winter. A winter coat makes a great gift thats also a necessity! My favorite long jacket is The North Face Gotham II Hooded Down Parka. The long length keeps me extra warm! A great shorter option is The North Face Gotham II Hooded Down Jacket. I liked some other options below!
WINTER BOOTS: I have a variety of winter boots for various outings. I have my heavy duty winter boots, like my favorite Sorel Joan of Arctic that never let me down (they’re so, so warm). I also recently picked up this more casual pair, Sorel’s Emelie Short Lace Boot. I love that these boots are versatile and endlessly wearable for everyday, but are also waterproof with sealed seams to keep my feet dry. They have a rubber sole for traction, too. I love that I can easily wear these with leggings or jeans, but also style them with a dress too. I’ll be wearing these into the spring! I’m linking up all of my favorite winter boots below for you.
Backcountry has tons of options for men and kids, too! I purchased my son’s ski jacket during one of their sales last year for a great price! I usually pick up their winter boots here, too. Don’t forget you can use my code LAURENM15 for 15% off your first Backcountry order! 🙂
