Maternity Style // Field Jacket and Striped Midi Dress September 18, 2015
Dress: TJMaxx (similar) // Jacket: Old Navy // Shoes: TJMaxx (similar) // Bag: Nordstrom
I feel like I’m getting to that point where I’m playing the “How Many Ways Can I Wear This?” game in pregnancy! Which can be boring at times, but also a little challenging. I definitely feel my options are slim given my size, so I need to consistently be creative with styling. Most days I’m just in my favorite maternity shorts and a simple Old Navy maternity tee.
This dress keeps proving its versatility, however, and may just be my best TJMaxx purchase to date! The bodycon style is bump-flattering, which I always approve of. I’m also really loving this field jacket from Old Navy that I purchased a few months ago, and feel it’s another really versatile piece for fall. You can see how I last styled it here, which is also a favorite look.
We are in the middle of having our hardwood floors refinished, and our kitchen is upside down from our current renovations! We’re about halfway done with painting our kitchen cabinets, then we’ll be installing Pergo flooring which I’ll show you all about. The Pergo will go in the kitchen and dining room, and will probably be our biggest project to tackle. Our countertops are being installed in the next few weeks, and HOPEFULLY all of that will be complete before this baby arrives. And then maybe I’ll share some photos with you (because you do NOT want to see it right now!). Our maternity shoot is also next week, which is just solidifying how close this baby is to being here! I can’t wait to share her room with you 🙂 Happy weekend!

This is such a cute maternity outfit! I feel like I would want to be in pajamas or dresses all the time. I really want a jacket like that; you’re right, it’s so versatile!

Stopping by from A Lovely Little A La Mode Link Up. I love your style and you are one hawt mama! I hopped through a few of your posts and I wanted to say, as a “veteran” mama of 3, do not worry about jumping from 1 to 2 children. Remember how you felt before number 1 came along? And then it ended up being okay? It will be the same. It might feel intimidating to think about how you are going to get back to “normal” after the second baby arrives. You’ll just have a new normal! Take the first 3 weeks slow. Don’t feel like you have to do it all. Give yourself some time to get into your new groove. Pretty soon it’ll be as easy as riding a bike. Trust me. And accept any help friends and family want to give! Help is good!
