Top spring shoe trends for 2016

With the weather *FINALLY* warming up here in New England (I mean, it only took until mid-April…insert eye-roll emoji), it’s time to put away the boots and bust out the sandals. I’ve been waiting for this moment for far too long now, and I swear my sandals were crying tears of joy as I pulled them out of the bins they were stored in. I added some new styles to the mix, and today I’m partnering with Rack Room Shoes to talk top spring shoe trends for the 2016 season!

Top spring shoe trends for 2016 - fringe sandals

Top: Free People (similar) // Jeans: American Eagle (similar and $20!) // Bag: Lucky Brand (similar) // Shoes: Limelight Navajo by Rack Room Shoes // Necklace: The Silver Wren // Sunglasses: Le Spec

Boho. Boho is STILL all the rage, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I’m drawn to anything with fringe whether it be shoes, a top, or a bag, and with festival season upon us, the timing couldn’t be more right. These Limelight Navajo sandals by Rack Room Shoes have the perfect amount of fringe detail without going overboard. I chose to keep it simple for this look, wearing them with some boyfriend jeans and a flowy top, but I can already tell you these will be my go-t0 shoe this season. Once the weather gets even warmer, I plan on wearing these with shorts, dresses, and rompers. So stay tuned on that, because you’ll definitely be seeing them again!

Top spring shoe trends for 2016 - rose gold studded patent leather sandals

Dress: Forever 21 // Jacket: Old Navy // Shoes: Limelight Anja c/o Rack Room Shoes // Watch: Daniel Wellington // Sunglasses: Le Spec

Patent. Patent has always been a classic style, but I love the spin these Limelight Anja sandals put on it. They’re a patent rose gold with rose gold studs throughout the straps in a gladiator style. I love that it’s an unexpected twist on a classic, and really makes a statement without being too heavy on the feet. The delicate style make’s it the perfect shoe to dress up or keep casual. I’ve received SO many compliments on this shoe so far, and they’re a steal at only $20! I highly recommend snagging a pair soon because these definitely won’t stay in stock.

Top spring shoe trends for 2016 - neutral wedges

Dress: Old Navy // Bag: Sole Society // Shoes: Tommy Hilfiger TWMadasen by Rack Room Shoes // Watch: Daniel Wellington // Sunglasses: Le Spec

Neutrals. I’m always going to be a fan of neutrals, which can just be considered a permanent trend since they’ll never go out of style.  A good pair of neutral wedges is a wardrobe necessity because of their versatility throughout the season. This Tommy Hilfiger TWMadasen pair keeps it simple with the cork wedge and gold metal details. I’m also partial to wedges because they’re so much more comfortable than heels!

Top spring shoe trends for 2016 - black gladiator sandals

Jacket: Old Navy // Dress: c/o Liz & Honey // Shoes: Limelight Jocelyn by Rack Room Shoes // Bag: Clare V. // Watch: Daniel Wellington // Necklace: The Silver Wren // Sunglasses: Le Spec

Simple styles. While I’m all for a pair of statement shoes, sometimes simple is better. I love that simplified styles are staying on trend, and I feel they will always be a classic shoe style. These Limelight Jocelyn sandals are the perfect example of a simple style without being boring. There’s no glitz or glam with this flat shoe, but the strappy gladiator style creates a statement. These also come in tan, but I chose the black to change things up a bit (my entire shoe closet is filled with tan sandals!). I’m glad I did for this look because the black straps really pop, making the sandal stand out. I love this casual look, and a simple shoe was the perfect choice with the pattern play.

You’ll be seeing more of these spring shoe trends all season long, so keep an eye out for future outfit inspiration! You can find all of these styles and more seasonal trends at Rack Room Shoes, which is one of my favorite places to shop for budget-friendly footwear for the whole family. Their everyday “Buy One Get One 50% Off” promotion on all styles makes staying on trend affordable! They carry a variety of top brands including Steve Madden, G by Guess, Madden Girl, and Nine West, amongst others including a number of athletic brands. Basically, you can dress the whole family for any occasion. Grab the styles you see above on Rack Room Shoes quickly because I have a feeling they’ll sell out fast!
