Style // How to Wear a Turtleneck October 27, 2016
Thank you to Evereve for sponsoring today’s post!
Ahhh, the turtleneck. I get flashbacks to the 90s where I wore one of those tight-fitting turtlenecks under EVERYTHING, or those sleeveless turtleneck sweaters when they were a huge trend. I’m pretty sure I wore one of those with my black Steve Madden platform sandals. Thankfully, the trend is back and has come a LONG way, so today I’m sharing with you how to wear a turtleneck so it’s stylish and mom-friendly!

A basic turtleneck sweater. This is for my ladies who aren’t quite sure about the turtleneck trend yet. It’s simple and can be worn with ANYTHING, as you can see from the photos. I decided to go the super-casual route and wear it with my favorite pair of jogger pants, Converse, and a denim jacket. This look is super comfortable and perfect for running around after the kiddos. This turtleneck sweater would also look great over jeans or even a skirt for the working mamas. Options are endless, so it’s a safe choice for the trend!

The open back turtleneck. I actually own this one in two colors because I just love it. I love that it looks like a regular turtleneck from the front but has a party going on in the back. It’s just enough detail to add interest without being overboard, and I love the oversized fit. I also like that the open back is just high enough to show a little skin without revealing too much. You can see how I wore the other color right here. It’s one of my favorites for the season!
Dress: c/o Evereve // Vest: c/o Evereve // Boots: Marc Fisher
The turtleneck dress. I have to admit, this is a little bolder of a look for me, but I LOVE it. This Free People dress has only a slight turtleneck neckline, but it’s enough to make a statement with the bold, bohemian pattern. This Sanctuary vest (so incredibly warm and cozy, by the way) breaks up the print a bit, and these OTK boots adds some color to all the black. This is a perfect fall or winter date night look because of how warm the entire outfit is!

The cold shoulder turtleneck sweater. This might be my favorite turtleneck of all because of how different it is with the cold-shoulder style! I’ve always been a fan of the cold-shoulder trend because it’s a little sexy while still being modest. I kept this look simple so the shoulders made a statement and simple wore these jeans and my new OTK boots. This agate necklace from the Silver Wren adds just enough detail without taking away from the look of the sweater. This look is great for a casual date night, or even errands with some flatter boots!
You guys already know my love for Evereve because they are all about moms (and not moms!) looking stylish while staying playground-friendly. They even have play areas in stores stocked with snacks for your kiddos while you shop! I mainly shop online because stores aren’t usually kid-friendly, so this is a real treat!

What do you think of the turtleneck trend? Yay or nay?
