Over the next couple of weeks, I plan on giving our little pool house a bit of a makeover. This spaced is utilized quite a bit already, and I know would function even better with the updates I plan to make! Above is my inspiration board for the upcoming changes.
POOL SIGN: I found this sign on Etsy, but I think I can DIY a version too! Super cute to hang above the changing area.
FLUSHMOUNT LIGHT: I love this industrial, nautical style flush mount for the space. It’s not a very big area, so something closer to the ceiling like this is perfect. I love the gold accent, too.
OUTDOOR SWING: I love the idea of hanging a swing on the porch part of the pool house. I love the rattan look of this one.
PALM LEAF FAN: The pool house already has a similar fan on the porch which I’m hoping we can just clean up a bit!
WHITE VERTICAL SHIPLAP: The walls and ceiling of the space are knotty pine. My plan is to update the look by painting the walls white! I plan on leaving the ceiling natural at first, and then judging if I paint that too. The white walls will brighten up the space quite a bit and give it a more nautical look.
BRONZE HOOKS: These hooks will add some nice contrast to the white walls, and I love their vintage look. I plan on having them in the changing area for clothes and towels.
DRIFTWOOD: I actually have several pieces of driftwood we found on the side of the road one day, so I plan on incorporating a piece for some wall art!
BASKETS: I’ll have several baskets for extra towels, pool toys, and more!
FLOOR TILES: The pool house currently has peel and stick floor tiles, so my plan is to remove those and update them with this fun style! I think the pattern will be a fun change and add a nice pop of color with the white walls.
WOODEN HOOKS: This is another option of hooks I might use!
NATURAL RUG: I might use a rug like this on the porch part of the pool house! Use code LAUR60 for 60% off!
WICKER COUCH: Another fun seating option for the space! This reminds me of something from Serena and Lily but a fraction of the price.
SOAP BOTTLE MOUNT: I love the industrial look of this soap bottle mount and how it secures to the wall! Saves space near the sink!
BATH MAT: These mats will be great in the changing area for wet feet! I love the blue color.
CAMP STOOL: A cute little camp stool like this one would be great for some seating or bag storage. I hope to find something similar and more budget friendly, but this is the vibe I’m going for!
SHOWER CURTAIN: I love these blue striped shower curtains for the changing area. They will be fun against the pattern of the floors!
