Mom + Baby // Baby Einstein 2-in-1 Lights & Sea Activity Gym and Saucer Review June 10, 2016
Noelle has been an interesting child. She’s very happy, but also very needy. She’s not as content as her big brother was (most likely because she’s sleep deprived and takes awful naps!), which means we are trying to occupy her a lot more. Who knows, maybe she’s even overstimulated…but that’s kind of difficult to avoid with a 3 year old who is a giant ball of energy. Basically, Noelle is content with one thing for a total of two minutes until she’s onto the next. Really, she would just love nothing more than to be held all day long. But my arms aren’t that strong, nor am I able to realistically do that, so I’ve had to find some baby toys that will occupy her for a little longer than her norm.
(Yes, she’s teething. Can you tell?)
We have been big Baby Einstein fans since Landon was a baby. I really love the entire line of baby toys because I feel they all help with different motor skills. So when Baby Einstein reached out to me to try out their new 2-in-1 Lights & Sea Activity Gym & Saucer, it was a no-brainer to say yes! We had been using Landon’s old saucer for Noelle, which she wasn’t too thrilled about. I utilize the saucer if I need to get Landon situated or even to just use the bathroom. Because we all know that’s difficult to do alone as a mom! I can’t even tell you what it is about the old one that she didn’t like. Maybe she’s just taking after her mama and being incredibly picky. 😉
Guys. It was a freaking miracle when we tried out the Baby Einstein saucer. She absolutely loves it. She will occupy herself with all of the little stations for a long enough time for me to get something done quick. Landon even enjoys playing with it too. He likes to push down on the little whale spout and make the balls go around. Noel gets a kick out of watching her brother do this as well. She also enjoys spinning the little crab, and chewing on the little leaf stalk. She also really likes the hanging octopus and star, and listening to the music that in plays. One thing I really love about the Baby Einstein toys is the type of music they play. It’s a baby version of Mozart and Beethoven, which is much more pleasing to the ear then some of the songs our other toys play. I’ve yet to get sick of this music and I’m now two kids in. You can also hook your smartphone up to it and play your own music if you so desire, which I thought was a neat feature!
The saucer also turns into a play mat, which Noelle is a little big for at this time but is a great option for younger babies who are quite ready for the saucer yet. I like that this eliminates the need for two separate products because it’s two in one. I don’t know about you, but I have enough baby stuff thrown all around my house so anything that will minimize that is a win in my book!
I highly recommend the Baby Einstein 2-in-1 Lights & Sea Activity Gym & Saucer for your little one! The fact that it grows with your baby and is a 2-in-1 product is reason alone!
