Beauty // Daily Makeup Routine With Drugstore Makeup November 21, 2016
This post is sponsored by CVS Pharmacy, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands who support this blog!
I recently had a few of you ask me about drugstore options for my normal makeup routine, and while I do use a few tried and true products from my local CVS, I wanted to get a FULL drugstore beauty look for you. CVS is the destination for drugstore beauty because they offer such a wide variety of brands and had dozens of new products every month! I love that I can pick up my prescriptions, grab some household items, and pick up a new product from the beauty aisle all at the same time. I can’t make a trip without swinging by the beauty section to check out the new polish or lipgloss colors. I also love that they carry nail products like Essie, which are my favorite little stocking stuffers for friends. CVS makes holiday shopping easy, which is just what this mama needs. And the best part? CVS allows you to return beauty products, opened or unopened, along with your receipt for a full-priced refund…no questions asked! This is great for when you find out the foundation shade you chose was wrong and you need to swap it out! So today I’m showing you how to get my daily makeup routine using only items I found at CVS Pharmacy! There’s also a giveaway below for you to grab some products for yourself, so keep reading!

First I primed my face using the NYX Pore Filler. I liked that this made my pores almost invisible and ready for foundation. I then applied L’Oreal Infalliable Pro Matte Foundation using a beauty blender that I had at home.
Concealing is super important for this mama with raccoon eyes, so I corrected my dark circles using Maybelline Coverstick Concealer in Yellow in a triangle shape underneath my eye. After blending, I applied Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in the same triangle shape and blended out with a beauty blender. I then set my entire face with NYX Studio Finishing Powder.
Next, I used the contouring color from the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Contour Palette to contour my cheeks a bit. I then used Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Light Mauve on my cheeks. I followed this with adding a little highlight to the tops of my cheekbones using L’Oreal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator.
I love using a skin colored eyeshadow shade to balance my eyelid out a bit, so I applied NYX Nude Matte Shadow in I Have a Headache all over my eye. I then lined my top lash line using L’Oreal Infalliable 24HR Lacquer Intense Gel Liner in Espresso (my FAVE gel liner ever, I’ve been using it for YEARS). Using a pencil eyeshadow brush, I then applied the darkest brown eyeshadow shade from the MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Nude to my top and bottom lash line for a slight smokey look. I don’t like how harsh eyeliner looks on my face, so this is my go-to for lining my eyes.
After curling my lashes, I applied two coats of Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara in Blackest Black to my top and bottom lashes. I then lined my water line using Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black.
Last, I filled in my brows a bit using Milani Easybrow Automatic Pencil in Natural Taupe. They don’t require much since I had them micro bladed, but I think it gives a more finished look and covers any fall out from my face powder and shadow.
For lips, I used NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Pink and my favorite Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Blush Basin. I’ve been using Burt’s Bees lipstick for a while now, and it’s the most moisturizing lipstick I’ve ever worn (which is probably why I love it because I usually hate lipstick!).
And the look is complete!
I tend to stick with products I love and always get a little nervous trying different product lines (I don’t do well with change). But I was impressed at how well these products applied and how similar they look to my usual products! These are great drugstore options, and I love that they can be found at your local CVS Pharmacy!
