Thank you to CVS for sponsoring today’s post!
I’m back partnering with CVS today to share an easy date night makeup look! Last we chatted, I showed you how I get my every day makeup using only products found at my local CVS. Today I’ll be sharing a simple date night makeup routine again using products found in my CVS beauty aisle. This look is super easy to recreate (I promise, I’m not good with makeup!) and even involves using some false lashes if you feel a little daring. We rarely go on date nights, so I like to dress up a bit when we do have the chance, and that means glamming up my makeup a bit. I promise, it’s easy!
I love that I can enjoy risk-free shopping at CVS with their 100% satisfaction Beauty Guarantee on beauty purchases. As long as you have the receipt, you can return any opened or unopened beauty product for a full-priced refund! And the $5 Extrabucks Rewards on every $50 cumulatively spent on qualifying beauty products is an added bonus. CVS is always my go-to for my favorite drugstore products.
Refer back to my original tutorial right here for how I apply my base makeup (foundation, concealer, etc). Today we’ll only be focusing on eyes and lips!
First, I apply NYX Nude Matte Shadow in I Have a Headache all over my eye. Then, using the MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Nude, I use the lightest matte brown color only in the crease of my eye. This color is the perfect shade to add a little definition to the crease.
Then I take the darkest brown eyeshadow shade and gently tap it into the outside corner of my eye. Using a blending brush, I blend it at the corners and gently work it into the crease of my eye.
Next I apply the shimmery white shade to the inside corner of my eye, and blend out any harsh lines with the blending brush. Using a small angled shadow brush, I line my bottom lash line with the same dark brown color I used in the outer corner.
Next, I line my top lash line using L’Oreal Infalliable 24HR Lacquer Intense Gel Liner in Espresso, and gently soften the line using the same angled brush I used on my bottom lash line. I just don’t like the look of harsh lines on my face, so blending it a bit makes it a little softer.
Next I apply my favorite false eyelashes, Ardell Natural Demi Wispies 120. It’s rare that I wear falsies, but I do love how they look in photos and for special events. Date night qualifies for that 😉 I added them for this look, but it’s definitely not necessary! I also applied two coats of Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara in Blackest Black to my BOTTOM lashes, and one coat to the top lashes to blend in the falsies. Last, I lined my top and bottom waterline with Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black.
For lips, I applied NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Pink and Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lipstick in Nude Lust. I added a little bit of gloss using MUA Luminizing Lip Gloss in Nude. This is the perfect combination for a pinky-nude lip!
The look is complete! Super simple and just a step up from my every day look. Perfect for those rare date nights with my husband, or a night out with friends.
