It’s been almost a year since we moved to our little farmhouse by the sea. We live in a 1940s cape style home that’s 1.3 miles from the ocean. It’s a dream, really, to live so close and yet have a gorgeous piece of property like we do. I call it my coastal farmhouse because I’ve been able to merge two of my favorite styles into one to make it my dream home!
I always infuse coastal and farmhouse in everything I do in our home. That’s why when Pier 1 asked me to create a tablescape for #TablescapeTuesday, it was a no brainer to mix these two styles into one! I’ve been a fan of Pier 1 for years, but it’s been awhile since I’ve stopped in because I usually have two tiny humans with me at all times. I made a point to make a stop there (alone!) recently and found so many gorgeous items to create this tablescape.
Guys…this is my favorite tablescape yet. I feel like if I could be a tablescape, this would be it. It emulates me in every way.
I was inspired the Natural Jute Placemats I found weeks before when I stopped in during my work day. I love anything with fringe, and I loved that the jute added some texture and a farmhouse touch. I grabbed the matching runner as well, and then found these gorgeous distressed chargers that I just had to have. The crochet and linen napkins and distressed napkin rings made for the perfect place setting.
Since I wanted coastal elements throughout the table, I grabbed these gorgeous rope and glass spheres to stick in my vintage dough bowl. Rope makes for a nautical touch, and the blues of the spheres infuse the colors of the ocean. I knew this would be a stunning centerpiece for the table! I added in some of my favorite vintage bottles that remind me of the colors of sea glass to play off the blues in the centerpiece. Adding in these Crackled Teal Stemless Glasses from Pier 1 was the perfect touch.
To top off the entire look, I added this driftwood garland I found in the Pier 1 clearance section. I have various pieces of driftwood throughout my home, so again this fits right in.
I honestly don’t want to take this tablescape down, it’s just so beautiful! You can find all of the Pier 1 items I used listed below. I’ve always loved Pier 1 for their variety of dining decor. I encourage you to shop outside of the dining section for additional decor items when creating your own tablescape. You’ll be surprised what you can find!

Your table setting is right up my alley, I love it. I work at Pier1 and love seeing all the beautiful ways guest decorate. I too love the beach theme and was able to get the oar we displayed this year and revamped it for the beach style I have in my home. I love it!!!!

Just found you today on Instagram-I think it was from a comment by Tale of An Ugly House. I love your house and you are adorable! I grew up in a funky, drafty “cottage” a block from the central Ca. coast so I can really relate to your style and I love your table. In fact, I just ordered the placemats and table runner! I’ve been needing a new idea and this is perfect! I already have a driftwood garland from TJ Maxx and I have a vintage dough bowl so I can practically copy your exact ideas-lol.
