When I first heard of the overalls trend making a comeback, I surprisingly didn’t totally knock it. I immediately went to Pinterest and typed in “overalls” and saw how many ridiculously cute outfits popped up. From this year. Not the 90s. I even messaged a few friends with a picture saying “I toooootally want to rock these!” to which I received many responses of “Eh. Not for me.” Well I finally got my hands on a pair that I loooove, regardless of what all my friends think!
My goal was to make these overalls look less 12-year old and more grown up. What better way than to throw on a pair of hot heels? Add a statement necklace, and these overalls are completely acceptable for a night out on the town. And the bonus? My HUSBAND approves. The man who hates anything remotely in style. The man who doesn’t understand why boots are worn over jeans, or belts with dresses (“but there are no belt loops…”) , and owns a fleece from 1997 (that I will not let him wear out in public). So it’s a win-win all around!
