Alright, so I’ve been feeling like a Negative Nancy lately (for obvious reasons!) so today I’m focusing on some positive things from all areas of my life. The past week has been a great one and I don’t know if it’s because I’m just so busy or because my emotions have finally gotten their act together. Either way, I’m grateful this week has been different!
First things first, I came across a cockroach bigger than a golf ball today. Now I know that’s not exactly rainbows as it is making you want to barf, but the positive thing is I only have TWO more weeks working in the crappy city I’m in and dealing with junk like this. (Because really, if I see one more cockroach I may actually just pass out. You don’t even want to know.) Now that’s not to say that where I’m going I won’t come across things like this…but I can promise you that if I do, it will be rare. And not daily like it is now. WOO! (Also, who wants to throw up right now?)
To add to that, it’s only two weeks until I get to drop my hours again! I’m not exactly sure what this looks like or when it will exactly happen, but it’s a goal that’s within sight! I’m excited to be home with my babe a little more. We attended a birthday party at one of those play gyms this past weekend and OH MY GOSH, did the boy looooooove it! So I’m hoping to get him involved in some kind of activity since it’s already bitterly cold here and going outside in frigid temperatures will not be one of them.
I also have a huge project in the works (that’s also sucking up the majority of my time!) that I can’t wait to share with you. This past year has been such a blessing to my blog and I’m so so honored to have partnered with some of my absolute favorite brands. I can’t wait to spill the beans!!!!!
You all know CrossFit is my “me” time, and I’ve recently added yoga back into my workout regime. I can actually feel myself gaining strength between the two, and I’ve noticed my body being able to do things it couldn’t do before. This is huge for me because it’s a big distraction from all the pregnancy nonsense. I’ve hit a few PRs, and I’m so motivated to keep going. I owe this to fantastic trainers and amazing friends who inspire and encourage me daily.
And of course, my husband is just always amazing.
I’m beyond thrilled to be starting to push out of my funk. And I’m thankful that you all have stuck it out with me during the process! This blog has been truly a blessing to me, one that I didn’t think could ever be possible. I’m so grateful for the people I’ve met along the way. The internet is a weird but wonderful place. 🙂
