I started going through my closet this weekend changing things over for the upcoming season and I came across this dress I purchased over 4 years ago at my local TJMaxx. I always forget about it, but then remember how much I love it every time I come across it again. You’ve seen it styled on the blog here before, and even when I was pregnant, and I love that even after all this time it’s STILL a classic wardrobe piece. I wanted to show you just how versatile it is, so today I’m sharing how to style a striped dress three ways!
How to Style a Striped Dress
With a Cargo Jacket and Booties
My cargo jacket is another classic wardrobe piece of mine, so the combination of the two is perfection! I love the rugged look of the jacket next to the clean stripes of the dress, worn with my favorite pair of western booties.

With a Sweater and Booties
This is a great way to make the most of your transitional spring closet! Simply styling a sweater over your striped dress gives it a new, fresh look! I suggest having the dress neckline match the sweater neckline like mine does here.

With a Denim Jacket and Sneakers
The most casual style of the three, I love how a striped dress looks with a simple denim jacket and a pair of Converse! This is probably my most frequent way of wearing the dress since it’s so comfortable. Styling a dress with sneakers gives a bit of an unexpected, edgy look, and one that’s made for comfort!

These are just a few of the many ways a simple striped dress can be style for the spring season. I’ve been told stripes can make a person appear wider, but the addition of a jacket or sweater can have a slimming effect! However you wear it, this dress is surely a staple in your wardrobe and can be worn for most seasons!
