Annie Selke Rug Design Challenge July 6, 2017
Morning, friends! If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know I’m one of the 14 bloggers who are taking part in the Annie Selke Rug Design Challenge! I about fell off my chair when they asked me to take part because the line up is INCREDIBLE. Some of my favorite home decor bloggers, who I’ve followed for 9 years, are on this list and seeing my name next to theirs is so surreal to me. I am so honored! The voting starts TODAY, so in honor of that I thought I’d share more about the actual contest, my designs, and info on how you can vote! (it’s super easy!) 🙂
See the full list of bloggers included below!
The 14 of us bloggers designed our dream rugs for a chance to have them produced by Annie Selke’s Dash and Albert rug line! The top 10 winning rugs will be produced FOR YOU TO PURCHASE and will be presented at the April 2018 High Point Market! How awesome is that?! To think that something I designed could have the opportunity to be in your home is just so surreal!
We could each submit up to 3 designs, so below I’m sharing my 3 with you!
RUG #1: Vote HERE!
Living by the beach has always been a huge inspiration in my home decor, so naturally it was the same with two of the rugs I designed. This first design I imagine to have a jute base with sea glass colored pieces of fabric woven in. You know I love my jute, but I hate the mess that comes with it, hence why the design is based on colored fabric and NOT colored jute.

RUG #2: Vote HERE
Again with the beach inspiration, I envisioned a rug that flowed in and out like the waves of the ocean. This is a little more colorful than my norm, but I’m envisioning the material a woven cotton blend (for easy cleaning!). I feel so relaxed every time I look at this rug, so I hope you get that same feeling!

RUG #3: Vote HERE
This last rug isn’t beach inspired, but instead is inspired by something I’ve been dying to put into my own house! You know I consider my style “coastal farmhouse,” so I infused both styles into one! I find cement tile to be so incredibly gorgeous, but we’re currently in no position to be putting it in our home. So I thought…why not create a cement tile rug? For those who love the look but don’t want the full commitment, or want a more cost effective option! The awesome part about this rug? It’s REVERSIBLE! Yep! Reversible! One side is lighter and the other is darker. You can see what I mean below!

The competition is fierce, and I by no means expect to win, but I would totally love your support! Again, if any of my rugs make the top 10, they’ll go into production and you’ll be able to purchase them for your home! Voting starts TODAY July 6th and goes through July 20th over on the Annie Selke Instagram page!
Thank you so much to those of you voting! I truly appreciate it 🙂
