We’re finally at that time of year where it’s fall in the morning and summer by noon. New England weather can be awfully tricky during this season, and therefore we have to dress accordingly! Which means LOT of layers (to either put on or shed off!). I recently found the most adorable sweater dress at Nordstrom that is perfect for this transitional period. It’s a medium-weight knit, which makes it great for cooler mornings or warmer afternoons during these early fall days.

When the temps start to cool a bit, this dress is perfect with a light-weight turtleneck underneath! This navy and white striped turtleneck is a wardrobe classic that can be styled with multiple outfits throughout the season. I cuffed the sleeves a bit for this look, but they’re great unrolled as well.

Taking this look one step further, adding a thicker sweater on top is great for days you need an extra layer! This Free People turtleneck sweater is incredibly soft and warm, and it has the perfect oversized fit. I added some heeled booties here (this is a great look for work, church, etc) to elongate my frame a bit since the dress is not figure forming and the sweater is oversized!

For a more casual outfit, I love how this dress looks styled with a pair of fun sneakers and a denim jacket! I recently scooped up these calf-hair sneakers from Madewell because I loved the subtle animal print. A simple change of shoes gives this dress an entirely different look.
