I’m so thrilled to be guest hosting this week’s trend with Laura from Walking in Memphis in High Heels and Erin from The Fashion Canvas – LAYERS! Living in Connecticut means I’m dressing in layers 3 out of the 4 seasons a year. New England is known for being 50 degrees one day and 30 the next, so we know how to be prepared for the drastic temperature changes up here.

I hate wearing jackets (they’re just so bulky!) so I would rather layer with a heavy knit sweater and chunky scarf to keep me warm when the temperatures drop. I always wear a hat because I stay exponentially warmer if my head is covered. I’m also usually lugging around a diaper bag, so the less bulk I have to deal with, the better 😉
Other favorite layering pieces include vests and ponchos (my closet is FILLED). It’s so easy to throw one of these over an outfit, not only for added warmth, but for a chic look too.
