  1. I see no dark circles!! You have the most amazing eyes and this tutorial is awesome. Eye makeup is something I’m still working on so I love tutorials like these. Can you do a smokey eye sometime?!

Can I give you a hint about dark circles, which I do not see on you, as God as my witness! Rosacea cream. My dermatologist said dark circles are simply broken capillaries. I use that cream as a treatment cream dabbed just under my eyes and then follow up with eye cream. I get dark circles due to allergies and they have virtually disappeared!! I told her she was a genius!! 🙂 Have a great day!

Good To Know! I Also have horrible circles. What rosacea creAm do you use? Do yOu only use It at night? Thanks for your help!

  3. Mary Kay has some of the BEST creme & mineral eye shadows for dark circles & to help you look less tired as well!! My personal favorites: blonde, cocoa, & crystalline for an awesome brightener!! Their eye gel mask/gel is A-Mazing along with their concealer !! Even covers tattoos !!!!

  4. FInally!! I’ve been looking everywhere for instructions for preventing the “racoon” effect from smudged eyeliner/mascara. every concealor and eyeliner combo i’ve tried (you name it; I’ve tried it) has wound up interacting with each other, causing my eyeliner – (specifically on my lower lid) to migrate downward giving me that under-eye football player look – that I’m not really going for 😛 Even with the best, high-end waterproof products that I’ve used, I haven’t been succesful in preventing this from hapening. I, too have large, prominent eyes; but I dont necessarily want to make them look smaller. I’ve tried several powders, eyeshadows, etc. to try to set the concealor, but to no avail. I will try your suggestions, and hope I have similar success. Question – do you use any other products underneath your concealor (eye cream, primer or foundation)? I find that my foundation could also cause the smudging that I’d like to avoid. Thanks for your great tips!

    1. Yes! I use the Smashbox Primer all over my face. I find it helps everything stay better! 🙂 Glad you found this helpful!!!

  5. What type of brushes do you use for this?

    1. I use MAC and Real Techniques! But you can use any type of brush with a blunt tip 🙂

  6. Hi Lauren, I found this super helpful and I was wondering what foundation you use. Your skin is flawless!

    Thanks!

  7. A gorgeous look! You definitely don’t look tired. I love IT Cosmetics bye bye undereye for my super dark circles. that and the tarte clay cc corrector. It’s a great combo!

    1. Thank you! Yes, I’ve heard that’s also a great concealer! My mom actually uses that one and LOVES it!

  8. This post is so helpful! I just bought some smashbox undereye concealer and I’m hoping it will help with the dark circles. Time will tell! (And you look beautiful!!) xo, Laura 🙂

    1. Thanks, Laura!!!! You’ll have to report back to me, I’m always looking for good new products! 🙂

  9. I wear contacts and my eye Dr has told me to never put eyeliner on the waterline since it can cause build up on contacts and eye infection. He said the chemicals are bad for your eyes. Is there any other makeup tricks I can try so I don’t damage my eyes?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Lisa! You can completely omit that step, obviously you don’t want an infection! I know there are some natural makeup brands that have no chemicals…that may be an option for you too! Check out ecodivabeauty.com, they have a ton of brands! 🙂

  10. Thanks for the great tips and linking up to Inspire Me Monday!

  11. Wow, this looks so pretty and best best part is that it’s almost identical to my am eyes routine. Lately I’ve been skipping liner but I can see what a HUGE difference it makes, so guess who’s stopping by the drugstore today?!

  20. I just found you and I’m soooo very happy! Your eye look is fantastic and I’m sure going to use your tips. I’ve always had dark circle under my eyes no matter how much sleep I get. Thank you!! I do have a question — since I am a “mature” woman, is there any way to make your print darker. It shows up really light on my screen – but your information is wonderful. Thank you!

    1. You’re so welcome! I will work on changing my print so it’s easier to see, thank you so much for that feedback! 🙂

  21. what do you suggest for covering up sun damaged spots on the face. Some almost look like scars I have them frozen off so many times

    1. The Amazing Cosmetics concealer is really thick, so it might be good for that! Otherwise, I’ve heard great things about the Dermablend line! Hope that helps!

    1. Yes! I’ve been hearing this a lot lately. I don’t watch PLL, so I had to google!! LOL

  22. You look exactly like Trojan Bellisario.

  23. Lindsay W says:

Maybe dumb question – but do you do your eye make up first, and then foundation/blush afterward? I’ve been doing it the opposite (and even concealer over foundation) and maybe that’s my problem! I’m somewhat clueless with makeup

    1. I do primer, foundation, concealer, then eye makeup! I think it’s just personal preference 🙂

  24. Great tips! I never used to have dark circles, but now I do 🙁 I’m always looking for new ways and products to cover them up! ~Ree (visiting from Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop)

    1. I think I actually just have some clear gloss on! I’m sorry, I wish I had a better answer!

  32. Great tips! I also have very dark circles. The best concealer I have found for coverage is Younique’s. It could cut out a few steps and products for you. <3 Contact me via email if you want to know more. There are videos an all that sort of it even covering tattoos.

  33. Great tutorial! I just have to say you look so much like Troian Bellisario!
