  1. Hello, gorgeous!! Our table is really dark and shows the dust like you mentioned and also shows every scratch from our oldest daughter. I’m thinking when we move again I’ll need to convince my hubby to make one!

    1. Yeah, I’m still questioning why I thought dark furniture was a good idea years ago! Clearly I didn’t know what I was thinking! 🙂

  2. It’s beautiful. The hydrangeas will be the perfect finishing touch! I agree with you on the stain color, too, and the nails! Great job!

    1. Thanks Janice! I think they’ll be the perfect touch too! 🙂

    1. Me too! I forgot to pick mine before the heat wave and now they’re all scorched! Whoops!

  3. I’ve had her table on my to-do list forever! I want one for our patio.
It turned out awesome. Love it!

    1. Thanks Mindy! I love that her plans make DIY so easy!

  4. The table really looks amazing. It is a simple farm house table which you have used very wisely to make it look like an antique.

  5. your legs look a bit different. what did you use for those?

    1. Hi Dana! We used 4x4s for the legs…I wanted a chunkier leg, and that did the trick! 🙂

  6. We’re in the midst of building a similar table and I’m struggling with paint color. Simply White on the swatch looks pretty bright and stark – would you say it’s a soft white in real life? Or a bright white?

  7. I LOVE the table, I have been looking for something like this for awhile now but I was just wondering if you knew what type of wood you guys used?

What size is the middle plank on top, i noticed it’s smaller than the others. We’re building today and just realized that haha. Love the table!!

  9. Im dying to know what tyPe of wood you used? Love the outcome

  10. Did you use a polycrylic paint, and then a stain over it?

  11. Hi! I love your table! I was wondering what the measurements are for your table top. What size boards did you use? Did you adjust the width of the table at all? Thanks!

  12. Just wondering how has your table top held up over the years? Looking to build one similar for my wife, but heard the pine boards from HomeDepot/Lowe’s have a tendancy to warp badly. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Great build by the way.

    1. It’s held up great! As long as you seal it with some poly, it should hold up just fine. We bought the straightest board we could find!

      1. Flat finish is the same as clear matte? I am new to all of this. You have a beautiful home and family.

          1. Thank you! ????

Hi! LOVE the table! I see that you just used pine wood. Did you pretreat it at all? And would you mind sharing what stain you used? I love the color!

    1. Special Walnut by Minwax! We didn’t pretreat, just slapped on some stain and then poly!

  14. Hi! Love this table, do you know what sheen & type of paint you used for the Benjamin Moore Simply White? And did you clear coat or wax over the white paint? Aaaand how does it show dirt ????. I’m painting a toddler table & chairs….
